Richard Stevenson, Treasurer, read the treasurer’s report.  He asked the Chairman to approve the report as read.  A motion was made by Robert Mosley and seconded by Colin Sorhus that the Treasurer's report be approved as read.  Motion carried.

 

Ray Ford, General Manager, introduced the 2 students who attended the 2005 Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.  Cody Ward, a senior student at Scotland Co. R-1 School and the son of Jim and Laurie Ward of Memphis, Mo and Sam Jacobs, a senior at Green City R-1 School and the son of Allen and Trena Jacobs of Green Castle, MO.  Both young men expressed their appreciation to the Directors and Northeast Missouri Rural Telephone Company for sending them to Washington and gave highlights of their trip.

 

 

Mr. Ford gave the annual report and introduced the employees of the Company, and presented a 20 year employee service award to Carol Murphy and a 10 year employee service award to Michele Gillespie.  A 20 year director service award was presented to Junior Bertram.

 

Pat Richardson, Company Attorney, read the nominating committee report and stated no nominations by petition had been made, and asked if there were any nominations from the floor.  One minute elapsed and no nominations were made.  Mr. Richardson asked for a motion that nominations cease.  Roger Hill made a motion that nominations cease and Robert Moseley seconded.  Motion carried.  Mr. Richardson asked for a motion that the 4 directors John Aylward, District 9, Ron Morlan, District 3, Bobby Jones, District 8 and Hubert Pfeiffer, District 4 be elected by acclamation.  A motion was made by Shirley Search and the motion was seconded by Jim Ward that the 4 directors be elected by acclamation.  Motion carried.

 

Richard Morgan asked if there was any old business or new business to be brought forth before the members.  None was brought from the floor.

 

Benediction was given by Hubert Pfeiffer.

 

Lewis Baumgartner, World’s Worst Farmer from Fulton, Missouri entertained the members.
